Rating methodology

PlatformsReviews scores companies using the average of user star ratings. No editorial weighting, paid placement or commercial relationship affects a company score.

Reviewer verification

Each review is tied to a submitting account. Reviewer email addresses are stored for verification and are never displayed publicly; reviews appear under a display name only.

Duplicate detection

Repeated submissions from the same author to the same company, and near-identical text posted across several companies, are treated as duplicates and excluded so they cannot inflate or deflate a score.

Suspicious-review detection

Automated filters flag reviews that contain contact details, fund-recovery or hacking-service promotion, phone numbers, messaging handles or template-like wording. Flagged reviews are removed from the score.

Ranking

Category listings are ordered primarily by review volume and average rating. A high score based on very few reviews is treated with more caution than a comparable score based on many reviews.

Imported reviews

PlatformsReviews publishes reviews submitted directly to the platform. It does not silently blend in purchased or imported review sets to change a score.

Corrections and recalculation

Companies that believe a score is affected by fraudulent reviews can raise a dispute through the contact page. When a review is removed, the score is recalculated immediately.
